aboutBuilt by one parent who reads a story every night.
I started Picolibro because my four-year-old kept asking for the same five books, and I kept inventing tired stories at 8:47pm. The phone-based bedtime apps I tried were either edutainment slot machines or Netflix-for-kids in disguise.
Picolibro is the opposite of that. It’s small, it ends, it gets out of the way. The product is the bedtime ritual, not the engagement metric.

our principles
Six things we’ll keep choosing.
Bedtime first
Every feature must serve the ritual. Engagement metrics aren’t a feature.
Endings, not loops
Stories end. Sessions end. Notifications never beg you back.
Quiet by default
No flashing rewards. No streaks. No haptic candy.
Small libraries
A few good stories you remember > endless content you forget.
Honest billing
No retention dark patterns. No price-creep without warning.
Kid privacy
On-device by default. Nothing sold. Nothing shared.
